Bakersfield Police Activities League
Bakersfield Police Activities League, BPAL, is a non-profit charitable organization formed in 1994 by Police officers and concerned citizens. It is one of the Police Department's approaches to juvenile delinquency prevention.
BPAL is about cops and kids. Police officers and other community members volunteer their time as coaches, mentors, role models, and friends to children in our community. BPAL provides positive self-esteem, mutual trust, and respect. BPAL targets at risk youth in high crime neighborhoods.
Bakersfield PAL is a chapter member of the state organization California Police Activities League.
