BAKERSFIELD PAL SOCIAL PROGRAMS

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Social development classes give the children a chance to interact with peers, staff, police, and community leaders and talk about issues they face as young people growing up in society filled with negative risk factors. Adults act as role models and mentors to help the children find appropriate solutions to the challenges they face on a daily basis.

JR. POLICE ACADEMY

The Junior Police Academy is a highly structured and disciplined program. The Academy will expose young adults ages 13 and up to similar experiences of police officers and law enforcement.  Numerous field trips will be taken to the Bakersfield Police Department, Probation Department, and various other locations. Regular academy days are every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. For more information please contact  Officer Glen Davis at our BPAL facility at 661-283-8880.
